Cultureshare is a free, subscription-based program that curates and distributes locally produced art, music, writing, and performance in conversation with existing holdings of the Free Library. Our objectives include removing the  financial and logistical barriers traditionally needed to consume art, highlighting voices of culture makers across diverse communities, encouraging engagement with the Free Library as a cultural institution, and supporting working artists in Philadelphia through funding and exposure.

Submissions will be selected by a committee of curators and library staff based on connection to Philadelphia and artistic merit. 

• The submission period is Wednesday, May 3, 2017 through Friday, June 30, 2017. 
• Each artist selected will receive a prize of up to $1,000 and will have their work included in the Free Library’s first Cultureshare.
• We ask for first serial rights and the right to keep a copy of the publication in our archives. All other rights revert back to the artist after publication. 
• Only one submission per artist, please!
